Trip Report

Wind seemed to keep the snow pretty firm for our ascent (departed at 4:45am). On the descent the entire mountain melted at once - incredibly slushy snow the whole way down.

BEWARE the cornice is coming off the rim. Buddy punched through and had to get pulled out, also saw another spot someone had broken through. Would give the rim extra space, even though most footprints indicate people are walking right up to the rim right now. The area around the actual summit seems particularly bad.
