Est. 1967 · AMC Four Thousand Footer Club
The AMC Four Thousand Footer Club added this list in 1967: the hundred highest summits in New England, each standing 200 feet above the saddle linking it to a higher neighbor. New England's sixty-seven 4,000-footers fill the top; the other thirty-three fall just short. The club calls it the only one of its lists with true bushwhacks, and eleven of those thirty-three have no trail at all.
