Est. 1971 · AMC Four Thousand Footer Club
This list gathers the Northeast's 4,000-footers into one: New England's sixty-seven, the forty-six Adirondack High Peaks, and Slide and Hunter in the Catskills. It took its name when the count was 111; later surveys promoted two more peaks in New Hampshire and two in Maine, and the name stuck at 115. The AMC Four Thousand Footer Club recognizes finishers, who must first join the New England and Adirondack clubs.
