About South Sister
South Sister is the southernmost and tallest of Oregon's Three Sisters, a cluster of glaciated Cascade volcanoes west of Bend. Its broad cone formed from rhyolite-to-andesite domes and lava flows, with its main growth ending about 30,000 years ago.
