The Mark O. The slopes of the Wilderness rise steeply to a slightly uneven plateau and on to mountain peaks, talus slopes, and lakes with elevations ranging from approximately 100 feet (30 m) near the river to 4,900 feet (1,500 m) on Mount Defiance.
