About Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge
Cabo Rojo National Wildlife Refuge is an 1,836-acre National Wildlife Refuge located in southwestern coast of the main island of Puerto Rico, in the municipality of Cabo Rojo. The wildlife refuge is centered around two large hypersaline lagoons: Fraternidad and Candelaria, located along the flanks of the southwestern tip of the island: Los Morrillos de los Cabos Rojos, itself managed by the commonwealth of Puerto Rico as part of the Boquerón State Forest.
